AT VELO, our coaches and trainers are world class. All of our professional trainers have played baseball at a high level, most have played professional baseball, with deep experience in MLB, MiLB and non-affiliated baseball clubs. We are excited to have Cody Poteet - currently pitching for the New York Yankees Major League team on our training staff. Playing experience is not enough and our trainers are experienced coaches and specialists in their crafts.
Preston was an All-conference college player before being drafted by the LA Dodgers in 2017 as an outfielder. He diclined the offer and 1-year later was drafted by the San Fancisco Giants as a pitcher. Preston leads our VELO programs and specializes in pitching and hitting instruction. Today he lives in Katy with his wife and two children.

Troy Alexander was a professional baseball player with the Minnesota Twins minor league organization. Troy was a standout multi-sport athlete in high school, college, and professional baseball Today, Troy has a passion for teaching young athletes the game. Troy is also our operations manager for VELO.

Daron Roberts was a professional baseball player drafted by the Chicago White Sox in 2004. Darons dad was the number one draft pick, with a long career as a player and a scout. Daron specializes in hitting instruction, and catching. Daron is a pastor and serves his community in many ways.

Nook was a third round pick of the Detroit Tigers and the first player drafted from the state of Mississippi in the 2000 Major League Baseball draft. He made his major league debut against the Kansas City Royals in 2004 and was named the Detroit Tigers rookie of the year that season. Nook is an exceptional hitting and all around baseball coach

Cody is a current MLB pitcher with the New York Yankees. Cody has been a standout baseball player at UCLA in college, and during his professional career. He was drafted by the Miami Marlins in the 2015 MLB draft. Cody trains at VELO, in the offseason, and guides our VELO programs. Cody lives here with his family and is an active member of his church.

Tim has played baseball his entire life at the high school, college, and professional level. Tim coaches our 9U RAPTORS baseball team. He specializes in pitching, and all around baseball defensive skill development. Tim also lives in Katy with his wife and children, and is an active leader in his church and community.

anthony giansanti
Anthony played 15 years of professional baseball at the AAA level with the Chicago Cubs. He was voted Best Arm in the Cubs organization by Baseball Americ in 2011. Anthony also played for 6.5 years in Mexico in summer and winter ball. He boasts overall 1,300 professional hits including 120 home runs.

Caden played baseball at the University of Arkansas. Following his college career, he was drafted by the Kansas City Royals as a pitcher and has been a part of their minor league organization for the last three seasons. Caden has a passion for working with youth athletes and is an experienced baseball hitting and fielding instructor.

Cooper was the 125th ranked player in the country and 2nd ranked player in the state of South Carolina before attending Vanderbilt University where he spent two years learning from the all time great Tim Corbin. Cooper has played both outfield and infield at high levels, and specializes in Hitting, Power, Defensive athleticism, and strength training.
